Installing Ornamental Aluminum Estate Gates

This is a classy looking ornamental aluminum Estate Gate that we recently installed. The linear actuators that you see on the bottom inside of each gate opens and closes the gates and is controlled via a small remote control similar to one you would use for a garage door that you can keep in your car or home. Best of all the system is totally green, that is it uses no household power to work at all! A watertight solid state control panel charges 2 motorcycle batteries via the use of a small single solar cell. The batteries are capable of opening and closing the gate 80 times at full charge so even on very cloudy days or in the dead of night the gates continue to work as they are supposed to.

Here's we are cycling the gates to the open position. The actuators also have soft start and soft stop. That is they start out moving slow then start to move at a good pace before again slowing before reaching a final stopping point. This eliminates all noise, it is a very quiet system overall.

Here's a shot of the gates in the full open position. The full range of travel is completely programmable. The homeowner was very happy with the security and safety that these gates provide.
