We were called by a homeowner because their dog needed containment yet a place to run. They were originally interested in a 6' high stockade fence to keep the boxer pup in check as he got older. I recommended the shadowbox panels since they hold up much better in high wind conditions and as such last longer. Once the homeowner saw the shadowbox panels they elected to take my recommendation.

Here's a few shots of the lot & home that we are about to fence soon after the snow melts. We 're showing a few before and after pictures for comparison purposes.

The chain link fence that you see here is actually the neighbors fence. We will be adding fence within 10" of the existing fence.

Once the ground thawed our first couple of days were spent laying out and positioning the pressure treated 4' X 4' posts. Each hole was drilled via the auger and the posts were all set in concrete. This particular yard was a special challenge as it was full of rock, buried concrete, and large roots from trees.

You can see the string-line and marker paint that indicate the placement of the new fence line.

Here's a shot from the drive looking toward the house. It was decided to use 4' high panels and gate at the garage then step up to 6' high panels with another gate near the side door. The posts are trimmed to the correct height after the concrete has cured.

Wherever there was a significant grade change we cut the bottom of the fence panels so they would fit tight to the ground. This would eliminate the dog getting under the fence. some of the stone that you see piled in front of the pine tree was dug up when setting the fence posts. This shot was taken from outside the fence near the street.

Here's a shot of the fence line looking toward the house from the inside.

Here's the only 4' high sections of fence that were used. One gate on the left can be seen in this picture. The slide bolt on the outside of the gate was added to keep the dog from opening the gate should he jump on the fence.

Here's a shot of the fence line that runs on the opposite side of the house next to the chain link fence.

Here you can see the fence line on the left rear side of the lot again running next to the existing chain link fence.

The final picture shows the second gate near the side door of the house. This gate is 6' high to match the surrounding fence. You can see the top of our helpers head standing behind the gate. the idea was not to fence in the entire yard, rather afford some privacy in the back yard and to keep the dog in check. The homeowner is very pleased with the finished fence and is already talking to us about other additions needed such as a carport.
