This is a wood mount (still in our van) that we custom fabricated for a large apartment building that we regularly service. Management there asked us to secure a beautiful Grandfather Clock on display and make sure that it would not topple over should someone fall against it, or a young child accidentally try to push or pull it over.

The wood mounting bracket pictured above was securely fastened to the building and then the bracket was securely fastened to the Grandfather Clock. We stained and applied 3 coats of polyurethane to the wood so that it was unnoticeable even if someone knew exactly where to look for it. The main consideration when we fashioned the stabilizing bracket was that it did not distract or alter the looks of the clock, yet was fully functional. In the event of a earthquake the building might move but the clock isn't going anywhere.
